Playwriting
Jonathan has written both plays and pantomimes for youth theatre.
This work ranges from large-cast spectaculars, such as The Curse of The Mummy’s Tomb and Glamour and Romance, to more intense drama, such as Invisible Darkness, a play about young men in a Japanese prisoner-of-war camp, and the women waiting for them in Britain.
Jonathan has also written and adapted a number of scripts which he performs himself as solo shows.
These include a version of A Christmas Carol, an evening of Victorian ghost stories, “a frozen finger tracing out my spine… (pictured) and a mystery - Elementary, Father Brown.
He was a founder member of New City Playwrights, a group for playwrights in the Wolverhampton area, who have had their plays performed in Wolverhampton Art Gallery and other local venues.
